It was once said by Monarchs shortstop Jesse Williams that, "It was the ambition of every black boy to be a Monarch, just as it was for every white boy to become a Yankee." The Monarchs were truly one of baseball's greatest teams with legends like Satchel Paige, Ted Strong, Newt Allen and Buck O'Neil to name a few. It was also Jackie Robinson's first professional team. They captured ten pennants including 7 World Championships from 1924-1948. Officially licensed by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
